Greg completed a furniture design and build apprenticeship in July 2006. We
have expanded our wood working into additional areas. Our shop is also being
expanded and more tools purchased.
Our "Delicate Table" won a first place at the 2005 Central Texas Wood Artisans
Show, see the furniture page for details.
A hutch made from solid Pecan and Cherry veneer was entered in the Texas
Furniture Show in Kerrville, TX in Oct. '05. The same hutch won the Jurors Award
and Peoples Choice at the '06 Pearls Before Swine Art Show in Elgin, TX. A
second "Delicate Table" made from Curly Maple and my Laminated Maple chair
appeared in the Kingfisher Art Gallery Show in Elgin also.

What We Do:
Many of our Long Leaf Pine crosses are embellished with copper, stones, glass or other
art items. Many of our decorations are recycled or found. We are available to make a
cross, box, cutting board or other item from a special wood that you provide to us.

Overview:
Many of the items we craft are from wood that has a story or
history, therefore - Talking Wood. We hand make furniture
and accessories from antique Long Leaf Pine, Spalted Pecan
and other hardwoods. These pieces are wonderful for
decorating or adding to your existing collection.

This view is looking in the opposite direction. That's my delivery
truck outside, it's an original 1964 VW Pick up truck. I have
been driving a truck like that since 1997.

Well, since this is a "home page", here are a couple of pictures
of our shop that I call home. 10" Jet Table Saw in the center,
little bit of the Grizzly 8" jointer on the right and a bit of the
15" Jet Thickness Planer on the left. The dust collection
system works great, you can see the 6"dia. green PVC ducts in
the photo.
