These are the bed ends for an Arts and Crafts style
"L" shaped bunk bed I made out of quarter sawn
Oak.   The finished bed is on the furniture page.
These are Cedar outdoor benches I have made in July '07.  They are parts left over from the
Cedar Mantle I made, with new Cedar added for the legs.  I used a UV resistant polyurethane
finish to protect the wood.  Glass and bead inlay is included on the top of each one.
This is an overhead photo of my third
project for my apprenticeship class.  The
project is a chair made of laminated Soft
Maple and Walnut.  I built the form and use
27 clamps to bend and hold the lamination
in place while the glue sets for 6 hours.
This is a side photo of the chair, at least the
back legs and back of the chair.  The legs
and back are all one piece, they started out
as pieces that are 84" long, then bent
around the form.  There are 7 laminations of
wood, 6 Maple and 1 Walnut in the center.
This is a view looking at the feet of
the back legs of the chair in the form.
This in a close up of the Walnut
dowel pins that secure the side
mortice and tenon joint and the
rear piece of the chair.
The laminated Walnut curve on
the front and sides matches the
curve on my Maple and Walnut
table
This is the finished chair.
Side view showing the curve
of the legs and a slight
reclining back.  It's quite
comfortable to sit in.
Work in Progress
I used Mahogany and Crouch Mahogany veneer to build this Grandfather Clock
Case.  It is 83" tall and 20" wide.  There is a door on the front.  Glass and the clock
movement will be added by the owner.  The case was constructed to look like a
16th century French clock case.
This an Oak chair under
construction.  I am making four
of them for a client in San
Marcos Tx.  They are patterned
after an antique chair.
These are the finished ones.
Priced start at around $300.00
each.
I was asked to build this and the
customer stained and finished it
.
The top section will contain hats
and coats.  The bottom is a seat
with drawers below to hold shoes.
